PearPC is an architecture independent PowerPC platform emulator capable of running most PowerPC operating systems. It includes a JITC for x86-Processors.
This is a great project to run a friendly os in a (buffer overflow) safe environment
If you want to run Tiger/Leopard/Snowy, then you don't need ANY emulation of the CPU. If you want to run pre-Tiger or Classic, you need to emulate the PPC CPU. If you don't know what I'm talking about, don't give any thumbs. I use PearPC to run older MacOS for some sentimental reasons and just for fun, and have to say it works for me pretty well.
I want PC emulator that runs directly on Intel. This is no longer useful as 10.6 doesn't even run PowerPC processors.
