New Beta 2.3 release of PDPM (Personal Desktop Productivity Metrics) Tool is now released. This release contains more support for hibernate mode and descriptive user error messages. http://pdpm.sourceforge.net/
Referring to the previous post (https://sourceforge.net/forum/forum.php?forum_id=903407), the download count was calculated wrongly. An older release was deleted, so the download count for that release was not added. The actual count is 324 as on today (2nd Jan 2009), which brings the average to more than 150 per month since launch. This metric can be seen at 'Usage Statistics For PDPM' page https://sourceforge.net/project/stats/index.php?group_id=238009&ugn=pdpm&type=&mode=60day All other statistics in the previous post remain valid. http://pdpm.sourceforge.net
PDPM opensource productivity tool was launched in 1st week of November 2008. The total number of downloads has crossed 200 - an average of more than 100 per month. Other interesting stats: * 2000+ page views, 507 recorded visits with 440 unique visitors - which means nearly half of the people who visited the project website downloaded the tool * PDPM is now at overall sourceforge rank 577 * Top three visitors are from India, USA and Sweden (together attributing to 94% of all visitors) * Apart from other Euro and Asian countries, visitors from around the world - from countries such as Slovenia, Ireland, Lithuania and UAE. Stats as on 2 January 2009 http://pdpm.sourceforge.net
A few users have identified an issue with PDPM when PC is hibernated (instead of shutdown). The way PDPM is designed to work: report is generated for the day at midnight or if the PC is shutdown, then report is generated the next day morning. But when hibernated, the process is not stopped, it is just frozen. So the report is neither generated at midnight nor when resumed back next day. The change in Beta 2.2 includes an option under Start Menu to generate "Yesterday's Report". When clicked, this option generates the previous day's report. http://pdpm.sourceforge.net
