is tools solved a problem for me. OS X installation requires some experience, but is really not that hard. The output currently requires a pass through tidy to clean up some of the tags. That's not a real issue and could be cleaned up with some code work

The idea is very good but... when i try to compile in my ubuntu 10.04 server it cast me this error: "deprecated conversion from constant to 'char*' ". How to solve ? edit: ok, i try to convert a pdf by pdftohtml command and it works anyway. Great work :)

hey, I have a problem, I have w7 home premium on my computer and I can't install it at all... it won't run the app.. Can anyone help me?

Great application. I use it to rewrite a data PDF into XML so that it can be loaded into a database. Sometimes it will not read the PDF and reports that the PDF is damaged (attempting to reconstruct xref table. Couldn't find trailer dictionary. Couldn't read xref table) but I found that if I open it (I use nitropdf because its cheap) and save it back to disk that pdftohtml will then work properly.

This little app worked like a champ. I was able to parse pdf files of more than 1000 pages into an xml document and into my database in minutes.

Runs smoothly

Excellent utility but output needs some tweaking, overall very easy to use and excellent output. It would perhaps be excelent if image files were placed in a separate folder but that's personal preference more than anything. Would be good if the readme file included a copy of the "pdftohtml -h" output just in case people don't find that switch
