I just found the problem: Opening fails if the filename contains whitespaces ... not only with Adobe Reader, but also with GSview. Seems like the programm is skipping the part before the last space-character.

I was just testing version 1.0.6 of PDFcat on Windows XP SP2: I created a catalogue, added a pdf and entered all metadata. But when I doubleclicked the document to open the file, Adobe Reader started but failed to open the file ("There was an error opening this document. This file cannot be found.")
Same error occurs when I try to open a document from the "Candidates". Opening pdf-documents...
