Apple release the 10.1.2 update on 20 December 2001. This update includes Apple-supported drivers that enable PC Card ATA functionality. The driver for this project should now only be used as a programming example and users who have installed it, should refer to the release instructions for backing out before updating to 10.1.2.
A new version of the PC Card ATA Driver for MacOS X/Darwin has been released. The 1.0.0a4 release is intended for developers and early adoptors. It is much more stable than the previous release and kernel panics are much, much rarer. The driver works on a variety of devices: CompactFlash cards, SmartMedia cards, Sony Memory Sticks, and micro disk drives.
