Fixed quite a few defects with generating artifacts under Cygwin and CVS.

Alpha status achieved
Pau code review has moved from a pre-alpha state to alpha. A tar file containing a usable tool has been created and made available for download. Installation instructions have also been created in the documentation section. Basic testings has been completed for the file diff and subversion diff modes and the new files mode.
