I am also having trouble with this. I just moved up from using V 2.11 for a couple years. Now I'm finding a few things here that are irritating. I also noticed the massive code bloat in new versions - this one is 4 time sbuigger than the old version. WOW. You guys must be using some big libraries now and in my opinion the beauty (security???) and simplicity of the old versions was much to be preferred. I may go back as well.
Anyway, this bug it also may be the cause of the option for "display tree state" to not be saved. I chose this option as there is a certain group of items I most often use and would like it there upon opening. However, it seems this option has no effect except to make the program always open in some group that was never chosen by me at any time. No matter how I change the open arrangement it is lost after saving and exiting and coming in again. Darn disappointing.
But I guess the old saying applies, it's free, beggars can't be choosers.
