    First off, yes, it does recreate the missing files perfectly. No there will not be any gaps, wrong bits, etc. The files generated are EXACTLY the same as the originals (except maybe the file date/time and flags).

    I felt much the same when I first found out about PAR... How the hell does it do it? Well, unless you like math *A LOT* i suggest just taking it on faith. Otherwise I'd say reading the PDF linked to in the v1.0 PAR Spec (http://sourceforge.net/docman/display_doc.php?docid=7273&group_id=30568) section is a good place to start. If you dont understand that, the people that read this forum are very good at trying to help... so just ask.
