  • palmeol 1.5.0 file released: palmeol150.exe

Version 1.5.0 Removed the need to Register before messages could be created on the Handheld. Upgraded the handheld database structure to use 32bit message ids (this has made the handheld database incompatible with previous versions, the current level of active users means it was not worthwhile to provide automatic database upgrade functionality). Version 1.4.3 Support for PalmOS DIA, Larger screen and landscape mode. Ironed out issued with Tungsten operation. Storage of files placed in Applcation Specific dir on card. Various Cosmetic Improvements. Various bug fixes (e.g. occasional crash after message purge). Version 1.4.2 Improved PalmOS 5 stability. Migration to Palm SDK 5.4 Cosmetic improvements. Version 1.4.1 Support for selectable font for message display, including use of 'FontBucket'. Added 'Rebuild Message Database' function. Added 'Export' menu option to 'Category' in Ameol Addon. Bug Fixes: PalmOS 5 DIA resize when open/close T3 (Unable to test). PalmOS 5 Topic change when using card for storage. Lock-up when going to message parent and first message of topic hit. Version 1.4.0 Support for Dynamic Input Area (i.e. larger screens). Support for Card Storage of the main message base. Additional Purge options with the ability to save Purge settings. Improved performance of Hot-Sync, Purge and Viewing the Inbox. [ This was achieved by changing the message storage from a single PalmOS DB file to one PalmOS DB file per topic. ] Version 1.3.1 Rebuild with significantly updated PalmOS development kit. Messages now marked as read when PageDown hit at end of Message to preserve read status. Installer simplifies the installation process. Version 1.3.0 Message attributes transferred fully between HandHeld and Ameol during HotSync. Added Killfile functionality. Authors can be killfiled for a specific topic, a specific conference or globally. Show progress when Purging messages. Version 1.2.1 Fixed to work on PalmOS 5 based Handhelds. Fixed ParentID to be displayed as an unsigned number (Message Info). Fixed colour 'leak' from one table row to the next (Thread Table). Attempts to set attributes for non-Ameol messages now rejected. Version 1.20 Added "Thread" lines to thread pane. Added support for PalmOS "Find" function to allow searching of the message database. Special handling of e-mail from PCG Forum digests so that they are placed in their own conference / topic (the conference is "PCG Fora" the topic is the forum name). It is not possible to create new messages in PCG Fora. Version 1.10 Added "Inbox" window. This shows conferences and topics with messages present on the Handheld. A topics may be selected, this takes you to the first unread message in that Topic. The number of messages in each Conference / Topic is displayed along with the total number of messages. Added "Outbox" window. This shows any created 'Say's, Comments and e-mails. Outbox items may be selected for editing. Improved handling of modal dialogs during application switching and power on of the Handheld. Allow e-mail "To" / "Cc" addresses without "@" signs for sending e-mails to other Cixen. Some minor display improvements. Version 1.01 Items placed in the Ameol OutBox do not have their 'Hold' flag set. Version 1.00 Implemented Say, Comment and E-mail (requires registration to be activated). Outbox items only loaded into Ameol during startup. Fixed bug with transferring large messages. Now messages truncated to approx 20,000 bytes (less than the theoretical maximum but messages beyond that tend to be attachments, etc). Version 0.61 Conference and Topic Lists updated to reflect current selection when moving to next unread message (cosmetic only). Fixed conduit bug with W2K HotSync. Version 0.60 The CiX time stamps for the currently viewed message is shown. Messages are presented in "Thread" order for more logical reading. [ Note: This is done during the "Cleaning up" stage of the Hot-Sync, if you have a large number of messages stored on the Handheld this may take some time. ] "Register" facility implemented (sorry guys), however, required before Say/Comment/E-mail creation is implemented. "GoTo Msg" facility added, uses the selected text in the message (if any) or requests entry of the message no. "Page Up" hard key now marks current message Unread to ensure that it will be returned to by "Page Down" (Next Unread). This does not affect message state within Ameol. All functions in "@Ameol" menu now operational. More logical behaviour following Hot-Sync (Goto first unread if any messages are transferred to the Handheld). Messages read on Handheld marked as such in Ameol. [ Note: The "Outbox" is processed only at Ameol startup so message attributes will be adjusted the first time Ameol is run *after* a hot-sync. ] Fixed Bug: Scrollbars would only respond once to a pen tap if it was held down continuously. Fixed several aesthetic bugs. Improved filtering of eMail headers. "Say" and "eMail" Subject now repeated in full as first line of message. Version 0.50 Ameol crash when running on NT/Win2K/XP fixed. Lines containing a single repeated character truncated to account for the Handheld screen width. Duplicate messages are now removed from the Handheld following a Hot-Sync. "Copy" now provided by an explicit menu item. Fixed bug: Goto Next Unread which involved a Conference switch caused "Fatal Exception". Fixed bug: Could not delete or "Goto Next Unread" for the very last message. Fixed bug: "Fatal Exception" on very first hot-sync. Fixed bug: Thread & Message contents weren't removed when there was no message to display.
