It should be possible to drag files from Windows Explorer into the editor. It's possible in Eclipse.

Edit Plus 2 is a great editor to pick features from. Its sleek and very powerful.
Notable feature - Powerful search features, Seamless Browser window, user tools, spell checker etc.
Also, Notepad++ is a cool tool.

The logo should remind of both Eclipse, and the fact that Padclipse aims to be a generic text editor รก la EditPlus, gedit, jEdit etc.

This is the first release of Padclipse, a cross-platform text editor based on the latest version of the Eclipse IDE. It's a light weight distribution of Eclipse, taking only about 20MB to download and should start up in between 2 to 5 second on most computers.
Note that this release is pre-alpha quality, contains known bugs and is not well tested. But being mostly based on the very mature...
