Cross-platform text editor and Notepad replacement based on Eclipse code -- a lightweight distribution of Eclipse. Padclipse is extremely extensible thanks to the Eclipse plugin model.
Еби меня, Санта, еби.
This is the first release of Padclipse, a cross-platform text editor based on the latest version of the Eclipse IDE. It's a light weight distribution of Eclipse, taking only about 20MB to download and should start up in between 2 to 5 second on most computers. Note that this release is pre-alpha quality, contains known bugs and is not well tested. But being mostly based on the very mature Eclipse Platform makes it actually quite usable. The Eclipse Platform base also gives Padclipse a level of extensibility and configurability that not many text editors can enjoy. You may write your own plugins, and many existing Eclipse plugins work in Padclipse as well. Padclipse 0.1.0 is available for download here: http://sourceforge.net/project/platformdownload.php?group_id=197595 Note that Padclipse requires a Java 5 JRE to run. More information about Padclipse can be found on the project's web site: http://padclipse.sourceforge.net/ Padclipse behaves a bit differently from Eclipse, and more like other text editors, allowing files to be opened by pointing to their paths in command line parameters, and consequent launches will open files in a single Padclipse instance. Padclipse creates links for all opened files in an Eclipse workspace, which makes many useful Eclipse features available for editing files, such as local history, file comparison and search.
