Is there a posibility of a -q or something. I know i can do >/dev/null 2>&1 but that redirects ALL output. including errors. I only want to suppress the Compressing message.

I have asked Igor Pavlov for this flag, but he is not interested by this feature :(

p7zip is a port of 7-zip and will not add feature.
