Hi OTAS members,
I have made a python application for calculating first arrival tsunami travel times. The method is quite simple and the only input to the program is a digital bathymetry (map of depths, I can supply a global map in the appropriate format). You can read about the principles of the calculation here (I got the idea from this page):

There is an open source planetary visualization tool that may be applicable to teh OTAS project. An RSS feed tool is being implemented to it and that release (version 1.3) should be available in late Febraury. This is a Windows program but a Java/OpenGL version is under development and should be available by June.
