In the release 0.8.3 there are several bigger changes or better to say application extensions. Some of them are: - first release of our (simplified) telnet client - extended xml export functionality - easy adding own fields to user database table - file manager to manage the server files - simple adding own menu extension (links) all over the application In addition we corrected several reported problems.
New release of os:invetory was just published. We just added many improvments in 0.8.2 version. You can now easily extend the database tables and user interface with own fields without programming. (implemented for configuration_to_location table) During the import of xml audit files there will be audit log created. You can view and managed the audit logs in the administration area of os:inventory You can now define freely your own alerts which will be checked during the import of the audit result file. The issued alerts can be send by email to defined users (as many as you want) or just shown in the application. There is the possibility now to add own audit charts. On this way you can easily visualise the changes of certain components. You can customize now the login screen. Use for this login.tpl file in the template directory. In addition there are new parameters to define the texts which will be shown on login screen. Linux agent was extended so that deployment is possible. The agent can now communicate with deployment server and can download packages and execute commands. You can create the map with all your locations world wide. The map is based on exact addresses which you inserted in the location definition. The maps are created with Yahoo services.
