The Orrick MP3 project consists of a pair of applications that canbe used to build a low-cost MP3 player for the home or car. A perlserver script runs on the server PC, and a PalmOS interface applicationruns on a linked Pilot or Visor.

We just took a new out-of-the-box Book PC and Handspring Visor and built an Orrick mp3 system, all the while keeping track of the software we had to install and exactly how to configure it. If anyone wants to build their own system, follow these directions! They can be found under the docs directory. URLs are provided for each required package, so you just download and install. Also, we updated the Files section with a functional tgz of all the source. It now contains the HOWTO as well as a pre-compiled prc for the Visor.
