With permission from the original founder, the OpenTV project is being redirected to another purpose. The original OpenTV project sought to provide software for video capture cards. The new OpenTV project will develop an "Internet TV Station In A Box". The project is sponsored by LibertarianTV.com and seeks to integrate appropriate Open Source software to allow the construction of a high-quality digital broadcast capability and the necessary tools for managing an Internet TV. OpenTV will use Postgres SQL for its database, PHP for its web interface, Real Networks Helix DNA for video/audio content delivery, and Linux as its primary operating system. If you have an interest in creating an easy to use assembly of tools for creating a television station of your own, please join this project.
