• OpenTax is approved!

  I just got the OpenTax project approved. OpenTax is a new idea in my head and I would love advice, feedback, and especially developers. I would like to make an application that can be used to compete with the commercial offerings in the market. It seems like it would be very good for volunteer and community groups to provide easy and low cost access to tax filing. It also seems to me that almost anything that gets digitized, including taxes, hits zero cost sooner or later. We should be the ones doing it. The real value of tax preparation and planning comes from the advice, not the filing. I'm a law student and I have over ten years of development experience. But I can't do it alone. Hopefully, together, we can pull this off.
