openSEAL - C# Enterprise Libs - 0.5.0.16 released Release 0.5.0.16 of openSEAL has been posted to the openSEAL site (http://openseal.org/). openSEAL is C# .NET libraries, frameworks & containers that aid development of enterprise applications using best practices & design patterns like MVC & SOA. It provides architects & developers a base to rapidly implement flexible, secure n-tier solutions. This release contains a large list of improvements. Within the business tier, we added container, interfaces and implementation for the event driven architecture (EDA) features of openSEAL. This is a very powerful enhancement that allows you to easily publish, broadcast, and listen for syncronous and asyncronous events within openSEAL. We also added to the container package a new exception IllegalConfigSetupException which is now used in the scheduler container. We also added fixes to the startup and shutdown methods of BaseBusinessApplicationService. Also, there is a new package org.openseal.component.config that has 2 new classes that allow for the parsing of a generic components XML config file structure. We overloaded the ToString() method on all the N*Types so that they return the ToString() of their inner type. There were settings added to the Job Sceduler to allow concurrency configuration of jobs. See the projects README file for complete release details.
Release 0.4.0.25 of openSEAL has been posted to the openSEAL site (http://openseal.org/). openSEAL is C# .NET libraries, frameworks & containers that aid development of enterprise applications using best practices & design patterns like MVC & SOA. It provides architects & developers a base to rapidly implement flexible, secure n-tier solutions. This release contains a large list of minor improvements. In the web tier, there are helper classes for performing authentication against LDAP, additional validation methods, and more. In the business tier, you can now install and run your business tier as a windows service without writing any code to do this - all via a config file. Overall we have done some housekeeping to the directory structure, including supporting different sdk's and versions of DLLs (in the same way log4net does). See the projects README file for complete release details.
