C/C++/Java source code library and Build Environment. Contains code for threading, inter-thread communication (ITC), sockets, embedded database, parsing, fileio, etc. The majority of the library is designed for embedded development.

All future Open Repository releases will be done in two formats: "Full" and "Compact". The Full releases will follow the current format where everything (and I mean everything) is included - tons of examples, third-party code, etc. Compact releases are releases of a specific subsets of the Repositorys source code. The idea is to demonstrate functionality without overwhelming potential users. To start with, there are two Compact releases. One the Compact-MT that contains the core threading and ITC interfaces of the Jcl Library. And two, Compact-Metakit which isolates the C++ multi-threading wrappers for Jean-Claude Wipplers embedded database Metakit (http://www.equi4.com/metakit.html). The Compact releases were created out of the confusion caused (and rightly so) by the sheer number of files in the Full release. Also, the Full release assumes the BENV as the build environment. The Compact releases use only traditional GNU Makefiles.
Version 0.0.9d (October 12, 2003) --------------------------------- Project: - The entire OpenRepository is now using a Public Perforce CM Repository for development (www.perforce.com). The latest development snapshot can now be access via Shift-Right's public Perforce server at: 208.147.135.177:2666. The repository can also be accessed with a web browser (read-only access) at: http://208.147.135.177:2667 JAVA Changes: - Added CTL parser/reader interfaces (working on writer). C/C++ Changes: - Updates to fastdep.exe to parse the Zilog Z8Encore compiler's non-standard include path syntax (i.e. -usrinc:/path1;/path2) - Integrated third-party portable printf/snprintf/scanf code to repository (http://sourceforge.net/projects/ctrio/). - Added StreamIO output option to the trace logging interface. - Tweak MT/Threading APIs to be more consistent. - Added APL sub project. APL stands for: yet Another Platform independent Library. APL is a companion project to XMK in that it provides services such as mailboxes, heaps, memory pools, etc. with an emphasis on minimizing RAM/ROM usage. Documentation for APL can be found at: http://xmk.sourceforge.net/apl/docs/index.html - Added XMK sub project. XMK stands for the eXtreme Minimal Kernel. XMK is a preemptive multi-tasking RTOS for 8Bit microcontrollers. It has it owns SourceForge project at: http://sourceforge.net/projects/xmk - Added h800-gcc based example projects for Hitachi eval boards: edosk2674, edk3664, edk38024 - Added a basic/simple/braindead serial monitor applet. - Added serial port support to the Jcl StreamIO interfaces. Supports both Windoze and Linux. BENV Changes: - Added bare-bones C++ support for gcc h8/cross compiler (both 2.95.2 and 3.3). - Updated the gcc h8/cross compiler to 3.3 - Updated Hitachi compilers to NOT use the '-goptimize' switch which generates BAD code. - Added support for Zilog's zdsII Z8Encore C Compiler/Toolchain (F08X) NOTE: The Zilog compiler can NOT be installed where its directory path contains spaces (i.e. do NOT install it under c:\Program Files\Zilog\... )!!! - Added support for avr-gcc (gcc cross compiler for Atmel's AVR microcontrollers). - Added support for generic h800-hms-gcc projects.
