urls inserted into emails

    Have installed files and all seems to be working well. However, I need to insert a url link to a pdf file on my site into the email. The link looks fine on the preview, but when I send the email the link doesn't work.
    When I click on the link the unobtainable address in the browser (IE7) is preceded by "res://ieframe.dll/syntax.htm#\" and a forward slash "\" is inserted at the end of the link.
    Can anyone help please?
