to clarify;
OpenMoveOverLive would be booted on a machine early in the migration path, to test for linux compatability, and to get the goods out before Winders>linux changeover.
So it has NO value once the target machine has had linux installed.

That is; remaster a bootable distro (like DamnSmallLinux) with a working install of OpenMoveOver (incase that wasn't clear)

One thing we (GTA-lug) would do with OpenMoveOver, for installfests, would be to remaster a bootable distro, save the goods to a network drive, burn the .zip to CD, install another distro, configure the new install, and then move the Windoze stuff to the fresh linux environment. Have you guys (and/or gals) considered the advantages of bootable OpenMoveOver ?.

does this thing really work ? I'm sorry to be asking, but the open source bit seems so new, and there is no other activity on the forums and nothing to be found on the web but press releases...
If it /does/ work; GREAT ! we will be using it as step 2 at installfests ! Best of luck, the concept sounds great !
