0.7 is the second release of gleanfonts. The main point of the 0.7 release cycle is to provide new features. This particular release features the addition of two new font families (Courier and Symbol), new font sizes, and bold/italic variations. For some fonts, a true italic form is available; for others, a slanted or "oblique" alternative was used. A more detailed list of changes: * Added Courier and Symbol typefaces, from Adobe. * Expanded all Adobe typefaces to 8, 10, 12, 14, 18, and 24 pixel ascent heights. * Added _BOLD variants to all (including non-Adobe) fonts, except Symbol. * Added _ITALIC variants to all Adobe fonts (including _BOLD), except Symbol. * Fixed some bugs in bitmap text rendering (affecting only fonts with other-than-256 glyphs). * Tightened some warnings on GNU auto* tool use. * Fixed a compilation problem for some systems (perhaps should convert to GNU auto* use). * genfonts now gets its font-list from the command line. * Can (and now does) change output files between fonts. * Steps towards handling large (greater than 256 glyph) character sets. * Restored Adobe/DEC copyrights that freeglut stripped from the Adobe fonts. * Modified demo & test programs to support all current gleanfonts fonts. * Documentation enhancements, generally.
