openCRX - Enterprise Class CRM

openCRX is much more than a CRM. It is a business process management solution. This means you need to be fully aware of your business processes to successfully use openCRX. Or/and you need to be willing to reshape your processes as you progress in your project. First and foremost: Using openCRX requires thorough and repeated reading of the provided documentation. RTFM. This cannot be emphasized enough. It is by no means an out-of-the-box-does-it-all-no-brainer piece of software. openCRX is relatively complex and the standard GUI is overwhelming. However, it exposes virtually all resources available making it a breeze to find the appropriate ressource identifier needed in a custom application. The REST interface allows to connect virtually all external systems - in our case our WebGIS and the order handling system of our supplier. But: openCRX is complex and the fundamental concepts need to be fully understood: RTFM. Want to change the tracker used to monitor all support inquiries? Simply create a new tracker in the GUI and copy paste the identifier to modify the calls in your custom web application. Need to manage your internal projects? Create trackers, connect to the CalDAV server using the convenient wizard in the standard GUI and monitor activities from your iPhone. No more "Are you done with this and that?" Manage documents and versions and make them available to internal and external customers with access permissions. After 8 months into our project we are beginning to understand how beautiful openCRX is and what it can really do for us.

great product

quite a complexed installation however if you follow the instructions to the letter its actually very easy. Shame you cant run a hosted solution without the need for hardware servers but other wise excellent CRM
