I have the same version and build of the 'mainline' OpenOffice.org on a different machine and I do not get the same...

  • Followup: RE: How do I use the Debian package for Karmic?

Ken, there is a directory called "desktop-integration" in the main DEB directory within the archive, install the DEB file in there. It should be located something like this if you installed the most recent version and downloaded it to your desktop: /home/YOURUSERNAME//Desktop/OOO310_m19_native_packed-1_en-US.9420/DEBS/desktop-integration install the...

  • Followup: RE: Software to Open Lotus files?

Another free open suite derivated from openoffice is IBM Lotus Symphony from its site you must register in order to download it. It can open all your old files with the extensions: .lwp and so on.

  • How do I use the Debian package for Karmic?

I deleted the OpenOffice files that ship with Ubuntu, downloaded the Debian package and installed it. However nothing appears under Applicatiions>>Office. Can anyone tell me how to access the package? Do I need to re-install some of the OpenOffice files for example. Any help would be much appreciated. Ken.

  • Followup: RE: Software to Open Lotus files?

    A. After searching the Web there doesn't seem a simple way of doing it. The only way I found was by downloading this program from Lotus for free (Lotus KeyView); ftp://ftp.lotus.com/pub/lotusweb/product/smartsuite/kvlot32.exe This will open the .lwp file, so you can then copy and paste the data into OxygenOffice. NEW!!! ftp://ftp.lotus.com/pub/lotusweb/product/smartsuite/ The above...

  • Tabbed version.

Still I find more exclusive and efficient then original openoffice, but what would it take to get a ***tabbed*** version of every application with just one opened window ? WinXP OS user.

  • Followup: RE: Writer Context Menu

That's a known [bug][1] in OOO, nothing to do with OOOP. Just use the workaround mentioned in the bug report (extension menu). OOO 3.1 is dead slow in filtering (calc) too. [1]: http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=106100.

  • Install Oxygen v3.1.1 on Ubuntu 9.10 Karmic

Why you make DEB files if you can't even install them ? Specifically on Ubuntu which depends on the regular OpenOffice.

  • Writer Context Menu

I work with OxygenOO latest Version on Win Vista 32bit Home Premium. Since updating to the latest Version there is a strange effect when marking text and opening de context menu - it's very slow. That's not in Calc....
