User Reviews

  • I downloaded iMath to handle some convoluted financial calculations in a report to a vendor using LibreOffice Writer. I like it, finding it easy to use. While the calculations worked great, I did run into a number of minor issues: 1. No formatting capability for currency, especially the dollar sign and the traditional commas to separate currency amounts. For example: <dollar sign>1,234,567.89 2. I could not use the value of an iMath calculation in a sum function in a table 3.I wich your wiki included a list of included functions, with parameters. Whether these issues are fixed, or not, I plan to continue to use iMath. I really like it!!
  • It seems that imath is the only working replacement for MathCad in Writer. I started to use it in real calculations - it is difficult but it is possible. It seems that it takes a little effort to improve the project, but the prospects are unclear
  • Very useful for Civil Engineering computations. It's not a full featured CAS, but it's the Best solution for live calculations of formulas inside the powerful text processor. Great job!
  • I placed a re-build against LO 3.6 in the 2.0.1-beta folder (for Windows only). If someone tests this please let me know the result since I only have an ancient XP. BTW reports about crashes, bugs etc. should go on the bug tracker (see "Bugs" above in the navbar), not in the comments. In that case I would also have been notified immediately and could have reacted faster.
  • iMath shouldn't be added to LibreOffice 3.6.1. because LibreOffice crashes after that and cannot be started.
