  I have had a number of (anonymous) requests recently from people wanting to take over this project. And i was thinking WOW, there IS some interest in this program.. and thats great.. but instead of taking over.. why not just become a developer.. all the benifits.. and none of the hassle. • Update Aug-2003

  I just got an email today from SF wanting to steal (umm sorry transfer) this project name to another team. I've logged on to see that we've had 86 downloads in 18 months. not bad heh! :p The main reason this project isn't very active is that it started complete.. all the developerment had been done in the 5 years previous. I had briefly worked on developing a GUI but that code seems to have gone missing. :( if anyone reads this and downloads Online, drop me a message.. i'd like to hear from you.. Thanks Eselle.

• Initial Release of Online

  Well here is is folks.. the best way to keep track of your friends/buddies logged onto unix hosts. The majority of this code was written years ago by a guy called Entity (i forget his real name) while doing his Computing degree. When he graduated the source got passed onto me. Its now been over 3 years since i finished my degree and there are STILL people using the final release that i made. when i "re-found" the source a few days back i though to myself.. "You know.. you really should keep this somewhere safe." and i thought "Where safer then SourceForge". I made a few additions in the last day or to. (extra colors, code cleanup, linux support etc) So its now OpenSource under GPL. the Release files are going to be "stable" version.. and when i get around to the CVS it will become "BETA" i'll make another post shortly with my future plans etc.. have a nice day..
