o ProxyPullConsumer changed to deal better with large values of PullRetryPeriod_ms. It now collects incoming events every cycle (CyclePeriod_ns). PullRetryPeriod_ms only delays new outgoing calls to pull() or try_pull(). (Thanks to Dirk O. Siebnich) o Fixed bug in str2name() naming.cc, that causes a SEGV on HP-UX. (Thanks to Andrew Wong.) o Upgraded to Autoconf 2.59 o Now call Policy::destroy() on policy objects once POA::create_POA() has been called. Doesn't change anything on omniORB (which clears away policy objects anyway), but is more portable. o New example showing use of libomniEvents: channel.cc o Programs now destroy their ORB before exiting. (Thanks to James Le Cuirot) o The omniEventsLog singleton class is now optional. Persistency logging is only performed if the log object is not NULL. This makes it much easier to include event channels in standalone applications. (Thanks to James Le Cuirot) o Eliminated overly clever use of temporary that disturbs the SGI compiler. (Thanks to `caoy'.) o Improved locking at shut down. All CORBA::Request objects are now correctly released before shut down. o Added check for C++ RTTI option. Needed on AIX's xlC_r compiler. (Thanks to `caoy' for reporting the problem.) o Fixed a number of memory leaks: - caused by using _this() directly. This changes the semantics of the class Mapper constructor - it no longer assumes ownership of the reference that is passed to it. - EventChannelFactory objects are now reference counted. - various reference counting bugs fixed. (Thanks to Dirk O. Siebnich for alerting me to this problem, and providing a patch for the worst examples.) o The EventChannel & ProxyPushSupplierManager threads are now cleared away properly on shutdown. There is no longer any need to call EventChannel::start(). o Changed callbacks to use reference counting rather than magic numbers. Eliminates a race condition. o Added extra debug flags. Define these macros and run with traceLevel 21 to activate: -DOMNIEVENTS__DEBUG_REF_COUNTS=1 trace calls to _add/remove_ref() -DOMNIEVENTS__DEBUG_SERVANT=1 trace Servant objects -DOMNIEVENTS__DEBUG_ALL=1 both o Automated tests - `make -f meta.mk test`.
