Octave Eclipse GUI
Octave development environment built upon Eclipse's Dynamic Languages Toolkit (http://www.eclipse.org/dltk/). Distributed as an Update site for Eclipse 3.7 Indigo and Indigo-based package for several platforms.
Supports search, autocompletion, launching scripts, interactive console, debug and integrated plotting on Octave versions 3.2.x, 3.4.x and 3.6.x.
The current goal is to make it running out-of-box on multiple platforms. Currently only Linux and Windows are supported.
Mac support is possible. The project needs a maintainer for Mac version, since I don't have Mac to build Octclipse and test it on this platform.
Also, it is worth to support Eclipse 4.0 Juno with DLTK 4.
- Octave code editor
- Syntax highlighting
- Code completion
- Search and outline
- Run/Debug Octave scripts
octclipse works nicely
Great product octclipse
The project needs (revised) build instructions for recent versions of Eclipse. An update site would also be great.
I managed to run octclipse-0.10.1 on win 8 x64 with Octave3.6.1_gcc4.6.2_20120303 But when program tries to plot anything, the new window opens (which is good) with error (which is not good): Could not open the editor: The editor class could not be instantiated. This usually indicates a missing no-arg constructor or that the editor's class name was mistyped in plugin.xml. End error details java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: com/panayotis/gnuplot/swing/JPlot at java.lang.Class.getDeclaredConstructors0(Native Method) at java.lang.Class.privateGetDeclaredConstructors(Unknown Source) at java.lang.Class.getConstructor0(Unknown Source) at java.lang.Class.newInstance0(Unknown Source) at java.lang.Class.newInstance(Unknown Source) at org.eclipse.core.internal.registry.osgi.RegistryStrategyOSGI.createExecutableExtension(RegistryStrategyOSGI.java:184) ... and so on Does it have a workaround so that I can display graphics?
I am also facing the same problem as mentioned by Peter. I get the following message with octclipse: "No corresponding plugin for current Octave version". Please help to fix this problem
Hi! I get the following message with octclipse: "No corresponding plugin for current Octave version". The interpreter is at the following location "C:\Users\pene\Octave-3.6.2\bin\octave.exe", selecting octave-3.6.2.exe results in "No interpreter found". How do I solve this? Kind regards, /Peter
