* Fri Jan 07 2000 Adam Jacob <adam@cybertrails.com> (0.2-1) - Implemented Rob Remus's TripleDES patch, moving the core from CBC/DES to TripleDES - Using TripleDES resolves issues with Solaris - Removed the -T switch from the client and server; I smoke crack. - Correctly evaluated the return codes... forgot to >> 8 them. ;P - Added a "-d" debug feature to check_nrpep... much helps the debug process 0.3.0Mon Oct 21 2002 02:35:00 TAG - Replaced TripleDES with Blowfish, - This version is not backward compatible with 0.2 client/server apps, due to the (doi) replacement of the encryption. 0.3.1 ??? - Hmmm probably somthing like, Blowfish isn't working let's try Crypt::CBC. See - See compatibility disclaimer on 0.3.0 0.3.2 ??? - See compatibility disclaimer on 0.3.0 - Sorry, wasn't paying attention to the CHANGELOG - Tried to actually use 0.3.1 on something. Sux. - Switch to mCrypt for access to the libmcrypt package. Supports tons of algoritms and methods. Best of all I got the blasted thing to work again. - Added some major stuff here. - Added a validation session which: 1. Confirms that the session is indeed with a check_nrpep/nrpep server. 2. Verified the shared secrets match. 3. Does a better job of dealing with broken commands. Consequently this break 0.3.3 Thu Nov 28 2002 00:49:00 TAG - Happy Turkey Day! - Decided to attempt to fix the 'unflushed buffer' issue I've been seeing. I'll describe it so if you see it popup again you'll know it. Although the session is successful between check_nrpep and nrpep on some queries the response is truncated. This causes an UNKNOWN state to occur even though the query was successful. It has something to do with result length a some property of the encryption. It almost acks as if the buffer isn't being flushed in nrpep. However I would think that the encryption would break in that case instead of a partial message. How about encryption blocks being left out of the stream? Would that be caused by invalid (non-block limit) lengths? - Oh also fixed a bug in the default install_root and default configuration file path. 0.3.4 Thu Dec 12 2002 17:27:00 TAG - Added 'check_nrpep' command to check_nrpep to verify NRPEP availability. - check_nrpep will default to 'check_nrpep' command if -c is left off. - Changed -h to -H for plugin compatibility in check_nrpep 0.3.5 Tue Jun 24 2003 08:37:00 TAG - Resolved clipped responses - Removed Makefile.rpm and nrpep.spec - Updated Makefile
