This is a new version of the PNGQuant software to quantize a 32 bits PNG downto 8 bits with transparency.Resulting images can display correctly in all modern browser including IE5.0 and later without ugly javascript or flash hack.

New PNG Quantization software is born
While web browsers are more and more standard compliant, it's still required to support legacy browser like IE5 and later. Currently, a web developer must choose between pretty graphics with alpha transparency and cross browser compatibility. This software create alpha transparent PNG that are supported WITHOUT hacks like JS/Flash in IE5 and later. As a bonus, the generated files are way smaller than their source, saving bandwidth when downloaded. The software gives the same results as Adobe Fireworks(R) PNG8 export, but is free.
