• Deprecation of VS2005 version, anticipation of 2008.

  Hi everyone, Thank you for all the feedback on this tool. As Im sure many of you will know, free tools dont get the priority they often deserve. Unfortunately this is a fact of life. During the last 12 months, I have had little need for this tool, and as such, it has not received any of my attention. This tool was built on the first version of Microsofts DSL SDK for Visual Studio 2005, and there were several game stopping bugs in there that MS had no intention of fixing (that the tool inherited), and fair enough - they had moved on to VS 2008. I myself have moved on to 2008, and as such I am consolidating the code-bases of many of my tools that I have developed. This means that there are many bug fixes, and enhancements in the next release, as it is a completely new code base - exclusively for Visual Studio 2008. I dont have a release estimate for this tool, but it should not be too far off. If you are having trouble with the VS2005 version (as many undoubtedly are) you can uninstall it, and use the following command to refresh your installation: [VisualStudioInstallDirectory]\Common7\IDE\devenv.exe /setup Thanks again, Adam Langley NHibernate Plugin

• NHibernate Plugin supports MySQL

  Initial MySQL support is now included, for all versions of MySQL that support the INFORMATION_SCHEMA meta-database. PLEASE READ You MUST use the same connection string for the diagram, as ONE of the connections you have configured in the Server Explorer. The best way to ensure this is to NOT assign the diagrams Connection String property, leave it empty, because the first table you drag onto your diagram will automatically assign the connection string property for the diagram. Additionally, you will _need_ to following MySQL software installed. 1. MySQL Connector/Net 5.X 2. MySQL Visual Studio Plugin 1.1.2 Alpha (the first version to support DS_REF, which enables Server Explorer Drag and Drop)
