NGStatistics is an advanced newsgroup statistics program. Using perl and a mySQL database, statistics are calculated in the newsgroup of your choice. These are either posted to the newsgroup concerned or save to a location locally (i.e. webserver)

Version 2.2 1. Upated mysqlinsert.pl so that any minor versions of Thunderbird 2.?? and Thunderbird 3.?? are reported as Thunderbird 2.x and Thunderbird 3.x respectively. 2. Updated calcstat.pl script so that the output displays the internet message ID on the largest post and the posts with the largest number of lines, so users can refer to these on the 'net through google groups.
I've uploaded the packages for 2.1.2 to sourceforge.net now. Drop me a line, if you install and use the package, so I can see if there are any bugs or problems in installation and use.
Version 2.1 1. $name[$n] =~ s/\@/_AT_/g; - added to script, to stop spam harvesters 2. Added facility to save statistics to a (web server) location. i.e. a location other than the directory where the script is run. Version 2.1.1 1. Fixed a bug where the start and end days for stats calculation was out by a day on both the start and finish. Version 2.1.2 1. Added lines to strip out / and \ from names, so that data can be put into the d'base properly. With the \ symbol (at least), user stats for the user using this wasn't being added.
