Having logged off my Barclays Bank session I closed the Netsurf window as I didn't need it any more - before the response returned from the bank. The result was a segmentation error - with the request to send the log - Attached

When a file: protocol address is specified along with a hostname part, NetSurf incorrectly takes the hostname as the first component of the path.
eg. file://localhost/path/file becomes file:///localhost/path/file (ie. path is now /localhost/path/file instead of /path/file)

This bug is repeatable every time. RISC OS NetSurf testbuild, 01 Nov 2009 r9656.
URL is http://simhq.com/forum/ubbthreads.php/topics/2343813/2.html
Bug is that on clicking the link with the text "HardBall's Aircraft Viewer updated" (in the post by Gamekeeper at the top), NetSurf opens a new window and then crashes to the desktop with the usual "NetSurf has detected a serious error" message.

This is a feature request about how NetSurf display images.
NetSurf open the images at the dimension of his current window, for example if I try to enlarge the window the image will resize according to it, so it is difficult to check the real (original) dimension of an image.
Check how Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox doing it, first time they are display image in a low resolution, if...

Well, the layout engine has got itself into an undefined state, which is why it asserts. It could be made more robust but, right now, there are a number of more important things to improve.
I think it's perfectly reasonable to expect the NSSymbol font to be present, as it's shipped with NetSurf. It should reside in !NetSurf.Fonts. Please ensure that this is the case.

Netsurf r9629 crashed just now when i clicked on a link.
last lines of log file say "Font manager error: NSsymbol font not found".
is this really crashworthy, rather than just errorbox-worthy?

The text entry field for the search box on http://www.fbhvc.co.uk/ is located slightly above and to the right of the image that is meant to contain it.
