mzSquash is a compression tool for mzML files, an XML-based standard developed by HUPO PSI (http://www.psidev.info) for spectrometer output. The resulting .mzsquash file can be decompressed back into a mzML file, or read using an included SAX reader.

mzSquash: What is included with release 1.0
mzSquash is a compression tool for mzML files, an XML-based standard developed by HUPO PSI (http://www.psidev.info) for spectrometer output. The resulting .mzsquash file can be decompressed back into a mzML file, or read using an included SAX reader. You have two options when accessing mzsquash/mzunsquash utilities: * You can download the zipped archives, which contain the project jars and Unix shell scripts * You can download the code from the SVN repository Note you can run either utility from any computer with Java. See the documentation section for instructions and examples. A SAX reader was also included, and can be used by Java API only. See the documentation section for more information.
