CHANGELOG Version 1.0 (20 september 2008) -Revision 99 -Changes from 0.1b3 to 1.0 -Changed the status from Beta to Stable \o/ -Some minor changes to the "Winter" template, I reduced the number of cookies needed to 1 -Some changes to the "XML" template, the description of a server is now an attribute of the <server>-tag instead of a seperate <description> -Added a Settings class to get rid of all those stupid array_pop() calls in the code -Added a new setting in non-www/config.xml: <allowoverride>, it's enabled by default and allows the user to override the default template via the URL by appending "?template=<name>" to it -Disabled Gzip compression by default because on some servers PHP is compiled without Gzip. You can still enable it in de .htaccess file -Removed the updatechecker, it was useless, slow and wasting bandwidth -Made a start to document the code using phpDocumentator -Changed the /msm/misc/generationtime node in the XML template to /msm/misc/time. Please update your tools if you're using this node -Various improvements in speed and memory usage -Bugfixes -Removed a minor bug in the Template loader to increase performance -Security -Renamed non-www/config.xml to non-www/config.php to address a security issue. On a Apache server with AllowOverride off or on any server that ignores .htaccess files any visitor is able to read the config.xml file which contains highly sensitive information like usernames and password for your MySQL servers (reported by Mal Leclair, thank you :)) -Feedback needed -I'm considering switching to the MySQLi API, instead of using the good old MySQL client in PHP, but I don't know how many people are have MySQLi installed? -I want some more templates in the standard package, who wants to create some?

CHANGELOG Version 1.0 (20 september 2008) -Changes from 0.1b2 to 1.0: -1.0 released, without any changes from 0.1b2
After a few months of inactivity I just released version 1.0 of MySQL Server Monitor. The list of changes is quite big, so I'll only mention the important ones here. First, a big security issue is resolved, in certain circumstances your MSM configuration file was world readable, thus revealing sensitive information like usernames and passwords. Second, I removed the updatechecker which I introduced in version 0.1b3. It was useless and consumed precious bandwidth. I also reworked some of the code to increase speed, reduce memory usage and make the code more maintainable in the long term. I've got some great ideas about new features, and with the reworked code (especially the way it reads settings) at least some of these ideas will be implemented in the near feature. And as a small gift to you I also released MSM_connector 1.0, it's the same as 0.1b2 but I increased the version number. If you're already running 0.1b2 there's no need to upgrade. I also want to make a little request. I'm a extremely bad graphical designer, but I want some more templates for MSM. Any volunteers? I hope you enjoy this release, and I'd love to get your feedback. :)
Version 0.1b2 (01 may 2008) -Changes from Alpha 2 to 0.1b2: -The docs/ directory is now unreadable via HTTP if you are using Apache -Enabled Gzip compression, this brings the total bandwidth used every request down from ~25KB to ~5KB -Minimized the total number of queries executed -Bugfixes: -The port parameter didn't work, you can now use sockets & ports when connection to the server
