• M.A.R.S. Officially Finished.

  The M.A.R.S. Project is officially closed. I lack the time to continue its develoment. I realize after installing it for someone else that this software in its current state, While stable, is not something that should have been released to the public. After 25 hours of labor to get the site i just installed it in to half decent status i realize that no one can use this if it requires me 25 hours to set it up and i wrote the software. The Source Files will remain as is sourceforges perrogative to have it so. I will no longer support or update this software so if you can take it and reshape it more power to you. -Magius

Music Player -Software now send the title out to the Shoutcast Server -Startup script now created to easily start M.A.R.S. and all services. -Created a Services to restart mars if it does crash. -Created Admin services to skip a song stop and restart the stream and to completely restart the entire M.A.R.S System. -Created an admin interface under ./admin that is web based.

• Development to Slow For Awhile

  StoneSystems, My company is about to pickup a major coding contract which will require much of my time. This means that M.A.R.S. updates will be a bit slow in comming. I will continue work on it as time permits. As of 0.7.3 All the existing features are stablized and run well without incident as far as i can tell. There is much to do in reguards to new features before i can release it as a stable version but the current release is very useable . One of the things i will be trying to figure out is how to make setup and installation easier. Right now it requires the compiling of several libraries as well as finding and installing third party software. My goal will be to eventually automate some of this. -Magius

  0.7.3 -Repaired the Request system. - config.pl - Fixed an error causing some urls to be malformed in pages. - Removed the http:// from the baseurl2 variable it causes the request system to not load the login page after a request is made. - qsongs.pl - Fixed an error causing incorrect permissioning of requested.dat. This was causing requests made to be ignored. - Fixed an error causing blank titles to be passed on request announcements. This would cause marsmp to skip the request announcement. - qsongs.exe - Recompiled from the new qsongs.pl - dj - Fixed an error causing dj to lock if there were blank lines in the DJ's data files. This would cause the queueing system to lock when requests were made. -Repaired Voting Scripts that wernt displaying correct song. - marsmp-info.php - Modified the script to create a temporary file in tmp by copying /tmp/marsmp-info and read that instead of having marsmp player do it. -MARSMediaPlayer reaches 0.2.0 Please see its CHANGELOG.txt for details. -CHANGELOG.txt Updated.
