2.5 works for me. THANKS!

Cool. I installed this a few hours ago and it is working great. No issues found so far at all.

I have BTV 3.74 and Live TV works fine now. Also they appear to have cleared up some problems with the guide as well. The weather feature has never worked for me but this one just came up and ran.

I did not change anything on the MVP software, only installed the new BTV skin.

I had customized some of the font sizes and colors but I just copied the style.css from my old install and all worked great. Much easier than I expected.

Congrats guys on a great update to a great add-on.

Glad to hear it. There's some more cleanup (bug fixes) planned along with a release that is compatible with upcoming BTV 4.0.

Technically, you don't need to change the MVP software for this skin but the MVP settings page may not work if you have an old MVP version.

None of the previous releases ever worked for me no matter what I tried. .25 installed in about 15 seconds and is working flawlessly! Nice.

Bravo! We used the "check upcoming recordings" and "set up a recording" options -- thanks so much for adding these functions -- they're awesome.

You can close out the bug report called "Channel lineup from BTV partially incorrect" -- it was related to the old "Live TV" screen, but the new screen with the online guide is light years ahead.

Can you give me a suggestion on how to use the News.html file? I tried to paste in an RSS format link from Yahoo, but it just returned a white screen. Here's the link I tried:
    http://rss.news.yahoo.com/rss/topstories

    Thanks again!

Interestingly, that's an RSS news feed that I setup for me. It works well. You have to scroll but it gives text and pictures. Leave me your email address and I'll send you the news.html that has that Yahoo feed in it.

I would love to have the HTML for the Yahoo RSS news feed as well. Could you post it here or in the Snapstream forum thread?

I will upload it to the CVS since it makes more sense to have that be the default then the one that is currently bundled with the skin.

If you know how, just go browse the CVS for this project and download the news.html file. It will be post with an hour or so.

Any word on when the BTV 4.0 version will be available?

It's now available. See their website.

Any news? I'd like to upgrade to BTV4 for the DivX and HD functionality but am holding off until this software supports that version. I'm presently using 3.7.4.

Thanks much for a great product!

I was kind of waiting for the other developer to review my new setup wizard for the next version but he's been out of touch recently and so we haven't gotten very far.

Anyway, technically there's only one file that needs to be updated for the skin to work with BTV 4. The rest of the files should work fine. The new file is the guide.html. If you want an early copy, send me your email and I can send it to you.

I've been using the updated guide.html file you sent (thanks!) with BTV4. Right off, I figured out that switching BTV4 to record to DivX would not work - the MediaMVP would not play the live stream even with the updated guide.html. It works okay as long as I record to MPEG.

Note that the screen looks much different with the updated file. The background is black and many of the icons are missing. Is this intentional, or something peculiar to my setup? I've reinstalled my entire system since my initial test and still the screen looks funky.

Anyway, thanks as always for your work on this.

you have to install mvpbtv 2.5 after you install BTV4. It's supposed to copy the image files over. It uses images, backgrounds, etc. from the BTV directory and copies it locally for use. If it doesn't do that, let us know. Also, you can try to install the older version of mvpbtv 2.4 and see if that copies the files.

If its a new install of BTV4 and not an upgrade from BTV3 I had to make copy of the "Beyond TV" directory and rename it "Beyond TV 3" else the install fails when copying the files.
