  • Looking for information to sync phone

I'd like to sync my calendar and contacts with Evelution. I have a Nokia 3120, a Series 40 but think I might have to get a 6800/6820 todo this. Will multisync work with evolution? What features & functionality do the phones require? I am moving from windows to Linux. I have installed all the programs I wish to, Eclipse, Tomcat, PostgreSQL.... however this is the stickler. Thanks.

  • Display issue and not recognizing installed synce plugin

kevin@seise.net Running Suse 10.0 OSS version. First, multisync does not seem to recognize the synce plugin I installed. It just doesn't show up at all in the multisync list. I can browse my PocketPC (Dell Axim X5) through Konqueror but I can' actually sync with anything. Second, when I launch multisync from a terminal, I get the following error messages and a messed up display of.

  • Comment: WebDAV/iCalendar-support

Logged In: YES user_id=417257 You may want to try out the Sunbird plugin, which has support for iCalendar over WebDAV. It is only available in MultiSync CVS, tag name "branch_08X".

  • Bluetooth / serial port. New project?

TCP/IP support is great but probably the reason why MultiSync isn't a greatly used program is because we have to establish TCP/IP. Phones will never have decent support with this approach. This is no due to technicalities but what happens OFF the computer screens. Phone companies will not be encouraging TCP/IP if they possibly can because they'd rather you spent 50p each time you...

  • WebDAV/iCalendar-support

Support for iCalendars over webDAV would be a great plugin, which I think would be fairly simple to implement. It's practically the same plugin as evolution as far as I can see, except the iCalendar file is read over WebDAV. Support for this would make it possible to synchronize with MacOS/X iCal, Mozilla Sunbird, and more with access to a WebDAV-enabled webserver Finding something...

  • Unable to install multisync-opie in FC4

Hi, I get this dependency error trying to install multisync-opie-0.82-3.i386.rpm under FC4... error: Failed dependencies: libcurl.so.2 is needed by multisync-opie-0.82-3.i386 ...this file does not exist on my system, but a libcurl.so.3 does. (I found an RPM containing libcurl.so.2 but it's for FC2 and conflicts with the newer version). This looked to be the latest RPM...
