Under Drupal CMS, only one MySQL database is supported at a time. This project was presented to allow Drupal to split read and write queries in a MySQL master/slave replication environment (via 'unsupported hack' developed by several Drupal volunteers)

After weeks of review and testing, I am releasing the patch code to enable MySQL split read/write under Drupal 5.10 and above as well as Drupal 6.10 and above. And to make it easier on deployment, I have already modified the files to have DB_SLAVE enabled and have corrected the code to do automatic fail-back to master (read/write) if the slave database is not available for read-only queries.
