MuseScore 0.9.4 came to my rescue when I realized my Cakewalk SONAR 7 recording software wouldn't let me add additional "lyric events" for a second verse. Just 12 days after downloading the program, I was able to e-mail .PDF versions of my song's lead sheet with lyrics, as well as a percussion arrangement, for a high school fight song contest. Without this beta version of MuseScore, I never could have accomplished the job I needed to do. "Tau Zero"

Muse Score makes it possible to enjoy composing music without making a whole in your pocket, like Finale.

Much easier to use than Finale, especially when entering lyrics and chords. Its a great piece of work!

Not quite up to the standard of Sibelius, but 100% cheaper and still does the job. Do Music teachers know about this program?

This is probably the best free music notation software I came across. It is easy to use and has a lot of functionality often found only with expensive notation software.
