Mpyre is a Python front-end to cdparanoia and lame mp3, musepack, ogg vorbis and flac encoders, that includes id3 and apev2 tagging.

* Added support for CDDB query strings. Now if a cd lookup fails you will know why. A cd will still fail if it doesn't have a unique CDDB ID. * Added support for Ogg Vorbis, Flac, and Musepack. These encoders haven't been tested but you can by editing the encoder encoderArgs and encoderExt variables in the first part of the script. You'll need vorbisgain for Ogg Vorbis and replaygain for musepack. * Added calculation of md5 digest, digest file writing is still broken, take a look at the code and tell me what is wrong, please.
This is the first alpha release of MPyRe. The code is very rudimentary but you should be able to create great mp3's complete with id3v1 tags virtually automagically. If you dabble in Python your feedback is much needed.
