MPUI

I use MPUI on a laptop which does not have a numeric keypad section. This means that I cannot use the keys to increment/decrement the playback speed of a video file as these are bound by default to cntrl+ and cntrl- on the num pad. The linux version of mplayer allows you to edit the config file to set your own bindings to get around this, is there any way of changing these settings in the windows frontend version? If there was a workaround or some customise option implemented that i haven't found, that would be super sweet.
