I won't say I'm interested as much as I haven't completely closed up the shop here - perhaps I will this year. I know all about the playlist support for http live streaming. I helped design and implement. :-) The problem for getting this all to work is not port audio; it's SDL. And I really do not have any time to try and get it to work. Whatever you think is best, give it a try...

Dear Bill, great, you are still interestedI I am fine, a lot to do as ref. jur., the next exam, Griebnitzsee, Potsdam, Cottbus, Berlin. We could discuss it at macports? There is not much interest, allthough Apples seems to support MPEG . Audio Playlists in its HTTP Live video streaming now. The latest portaudio did compile easily, maybe it could be replaced. I think I installed all...

Hey, Fisch, How are you ? I don't think that this is going to work on anything but Tiger; I haven't been able to make the player work on Leopard, or come anywhere near compiling on Snow Leopard (SDL doesn't seem to compile). I can't really work on it now that I'm at Apple. Sorry, but I think that you're out of luck. You can fix that one by removing the define for uint32 for pahost.h.

  • portaudio and MacOSX 1.5.8

Hi, trying to get mp4player on MacOSX I run into an error that I dont get when I compile the latest portaudio from source. What can I do, what is going wrong? Voila, tested with 1.5.01 and 1.6.1: Making all in portaudio if /bin/sh ../../../../libtool --tag=CC --mode=compile gcc -DHAVE_CONFIG_H -I. -I. -I../../../.. -g -O2 -DUSE_MMX -DMPEG4IP -I/opt/local/include/SDL -D_GNU_SOURCE=1...

please see this: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/mpeg4ip/+bug/444555 you can just omit the wrong declaration in ../../include/mpeg4ip.h, strcasestr() is declared in string.h, which is included by mpeg4ip.h.

  • Followup: RE: Reliable UDP

Thank you wmay. Do you suggest any alternative RUDP streaming package (I did a little google!) ? Any suggestion on enhancing the udp implementation to use Reliable UDP?.

I used MP4Box (part of gpac) to hint my mp4 files. Am now streaming my films using DSS. Much Love.
