Thanks for your report.
The bug has been fixed (together with a bunch of others) in the latest version,
mpc123 0.2.4, which you can download from the sourceforge site. Daniele is
preparing the Debian package, so you should be fine in some days.

Hi!
Please remove empty po/pot files from po/ directory. It causes a fails to build in ubuntu.
