Released and Ready to go!
The first true release of my project is underway smoothly thanks to sourceforge.net. It has many features that Ill list here. On August 31, Download.com will also be hosting the file to get people using this as a management tool for everyones music library. MP3 Renamer is a simple yet effective means to repair music libraries that have been overrun with poor filenames and ID3 tags. MP3 Renamer will gracefully repair most MP3 files and will ask about the ones it can't. List of Features: -Select from three sources for MP3 renaming. The filename itself, existing ID3 tags in which you can make a template for the filename, or manual entry for each file. -Add individual files, multiple files, or entire folders to your selection using provided buttons - Select what options you would like to have enabled. The options are as follows, Remove extra hyphens, Remove URLS, Clean up the front of the filename, Make the file Sentence Case, Remove the contents of brackets, Remove dots, Convert underscores to spaces, Update the ID3 to the new information, clear any existing ID3. -All over the program there are chances to play files that you may have selected or are in question -Sometimes renames filenames are still really long and unclear, the program allows for detection of these files and prompting for instruction of what to do with them. All of which is optional. -User entry for those of you who want to be specific, where you can enter each and every filename manually.
