Am I missing something? I downloaded and installed MonoDevelop because I was a big fan of SharpDevelop before I went (almost) completely Mac in 2008. I've received tons of emails from the commercial side since downloading (before I even installed I got a few), and it feels like a bait and switch. This is something I've seen more and more in open source applications in the last few years, and I'm glad there is a commercial aspect because it keeps projects from dying out, but it is a little annoying that there is no straight open source download. Should I be compiling the source myself to avoid this kind of thing?
It's fast, reliable and easy to use. I recommend this program strongly!
