An Apache2 module (filter) which receives standard WHOIS queries and rewrites them into standard HTTP requests. After the "translation", the request can be processed by the usual mechanisms (mapping to static content, running CGI & PHP scripts, ...)

mod_whois addes th capability to receive WHOIS queries to Apache2. The current code works (at least on my platform, which is prefork MPM on Linux), so that's reason enough to release a first tarball. Test results are appreciated, as well as comments ...
