    Sure, it also works without the magic.ini, but then it stores all settings in the local registry on the PC in which the USB stick is plugged in.

    But that is not the problem - magic.ini works fine.

    The point is that the *.magic files that store the mailbox settings contain absolute paths. So it will only run from the same path from which you have saved your *.magic file.

    If you always plug the same Stick into the same PC, this will also work (assuming that stick will always get the same drive letter under windows).

    But if you then go and plug the stick into another PC, where it gets another drive letter e.g. because the other PC has two DVD drives and your one only has 1. So the stick would get F:\ instead of E:\ (these are only examples).

    MMM will not work then!

    But I think MMM is not being developed further, unfortunately. So I'll look for another tool, as this is unusable for my purposes.
