• MLUG Considers Charter

  The Milwaukee Linux User Group is considering a formal charter which calls for election of a board of directors so that we can minimize the time spent in general meetings discussing plans for the next meeting, arguing about how to spend the meeting time and such. The consensus appears to be that we are going to continue to be a dues free organization but that we will require voting members to have attended at least 4 of the meetings within the last year.

• New Web & Email Server

  Thanks to Thomas & Caroline Francis, we have a new web & E-mail server and a new domain name. http://www.milwaukeelug.org is the address. The old name http://www.mlug.net still works and points to the same web server and email, but the membership expressed the desire to fully control the domain name and the old domain was being used for additional purposes that the contributor could not relinquish control over. We have a TikiWiki site so if you don't see something you think should be there, go and add it! -Joe Baker
