Sorry if this is the wrong forum, please direct me to another if appropriate...

We're running GT.M under Linux (RedHat 7.2), I can print to the printer by writing data to a file and then invoking:

    ZSYSTEM "lpr myfile.txt"

How can I print to the printer direcly from M ? That is what system configuration work do I need to do so that an M program can Open, Use and Write to a file, which when Closed will print ?

Minor Gotcha - my printer, managed by LPR is a network (Direct Jet) device, not attached to /dev/lp0.

Plus side (maybe) I am running Samba and my printer is available as \\MyServer\HP5 to the Windows world of other machines in my (Windows NT) Domain.

    Thanks
